The Relationship Between Self Loss and Creativity
I'm looking at the relationship between nothingness, black on the one hand, and creative living or creativity on the other. I argue that there's a direct relationship in the sense that if you feel like you are lacking something, then you are more likely to look for various ways of filling that lack. There are basically two ways you can either find something that pre-exists in the world that seems to feel that lack, or you can create something yourself. The idea is that it's when she's able to kind of descend into that private sea of hers and is able to experience the world in a creative manner that she experiences worldly transcendence.
