Sally Kohn: I'm fairly new to the whole public facing side of academia. And you wrote about the decline of the public intellectual and the rise of the think tank. But what is the general concern here regarding the decline of intellectuals on the one hand and then the rise of think tanks? She says it's a combination of, in my mind, at least the combination of the decline of intellectualism, public intellectualism and and the Rise of think tanks have actually lowered the public discourse.Kohn: We judge someone's character so viscerally.
