The US government just passed $2 trillion in a matter of days. It's almost as if at this point they've gotten so comfortable with being able to throw money at something that they don't believe there's going to be any consequences. I think you don't have a day of reckoning, it keeps getting pushed off. But right now, it's just not in the cards as long as the Fed keeps holding rates down and this money can be funded cheaply.
