Is There Time to Give Feedback on Assignments?
If I'm grading it because I feel the need to give them points for it, that is not about learning anymore. So choosing what to assign based on my ability does enable me to be a better teacher and to do more assessment. If there's no way I'll have time to grade something then I shift it from maybe homework to an activity in class where they're going to get real time feedback in class. Another strategy if I have assigned something and I think there's not time to grade it and give the students feedback to do some kind of peer assessment or self assessment on it.
