Julian's Campaign in Persia
Julian died in Persia, the campaign was already kind of a disaster. He got as far as the Persian capital of Tessiphon but was not able to break in. But that's kind of par for the course when you're invading Parthia. Also another way Julian was sort of emulating the five good emperors of the second century was Julian did not have children. The adoptive principle of succession was not a conscious policy in the second century.
