What's the Difference Between Tilled and Non-Tilled Soils?

In a perfect world, no-till soil would be made up of the same exact minerals. But in tilled soil, life within the soils produces glamourin which is essentially a glue to keep their network together. When you till that exposure spurs lots of activity that starts breaking down the carbon and releases it back into the air. A sandy soil with very little clay or silt may only need around 2% organic matter to be healthy. The average amount of SOM in your soil is around 4%.
