Are We Getting Back to Jon's Arget?
The yearning for belonging doesn't go away. It expresses itself in destructive, chaotic ways. I think our anger politics is an outgrowth of that tran but more than anything, i've come to believe that we're just completely missing out on the power we could be generating in our own lives. We don't really know how to do individualism the way we do it now. And community. There are very specific things that build trust in a group,. that we could bring back in certain ways and let groups do that inor in our radically individualist world.
