I think it's interesting that God still makes space and is clear to say there are still consequences for this kind of thing, even if it follows all these ethical boxes. The hardest part, I think, is distinguishing between what is a principle that is steadfast and what depends on context. And I have really come to respect where Chuck Colson landed on the death penalty. That answer is obviously yes, it was put into natural law, not just Israelite law, but natural law, put into the world by God.
