How I Met Major Winters
When you retired from the Army in 2001, how did you meet Major Winters? Did you know who he was before you met him or how did that happen? I never heard of Dick Winters at that time. So what happened is this officer invited me to join Major Winters for dinner. And there's only time I've ever pulled rank with one of my other officers. But I wanted it to be just the two of us. That's really how again, and our friendship people from that initial dinner meeting at the Hotel Fair right there at the United States Military Academy at West Point. You can see that as well in the film or the series band of brothers.
