The Quakerism Movement
Some people at the time believed that the civil war and the interregnum were the sort of prelude to this coming rule by god, this final divine monarchy. So a lot like the antinomians and the ranters, they believed that they could openly break civil laws without divine or spiritual consequence. Out of this welter of radical protestant underground groups, there also emerged an important preacher named george fox who created the movement that we now call quakerism.
