Introduction
It is native american heritage month, and to day we are talking about the indian child welfare act. The law was created to protect native children from state sanctioned kidnappings. As a native person whose father was removed from our reservation as an infant before iqua went into effect, this is a tough subject for me. We're not going to be delving into the personal stories of families involved in equa related custody cases. So as rebecca would say, please take care of yourselves while you listen.
