Are We Seeing a Downward Pressure on Rent Growth?

Lulu: Are we seeing an increase in supply and then a subsequent, you know, some downward pressure on rent growth? Lou: San Francisco was one of the metrics. We're still seeing its market rent was 1.6% behind, nearly 2% behind its pre-carbon level. Lulu: If this is happening in San Francisco, why wouldn't it happen in Boston, New York or other cities that have been known to be very high-rent cities? Louis: It doesn't mean all of the affordability issues are at the Sun Belt; there's no relief for even these traditional cold weather cities.
