When you're dealing with embodied social interaction, there's also a non-verbal channel. Oculisics is the study of eye movement when you're talking with somebody. Gestures include holding a sign and using ESL as you are at the same time doing things with speech. Smell matters. Eye movement matters. Touch matters or lack thereof. How the patient smells when they arrive at your office matters. And let me tell you something, analysts, your offices smell weird.
