The Different Types of Non-Verbal Communication
When you're dealing with embodied social interaction, there's also a non-verbal channel. Oculisics is the study of eye movement when you're talking with somebody. Gestures include holding a sign and using ESL as you are at the same time doing things with speech. Smell matters. Eye movement matters. Touch matters or lack thereof. How the patient smells when they arrive at your office matters. And let me tell you something, analysts, your offices smell weird. Most of them are in San Francisco and the buildings are really old so it kind of has something to do with that.
