What's the Impact of Network TV?
The biggest impact that they've had has been on the volume of shows being made and on the money going into every show. The quality of what you're seeing on TV looks more and more like film than it might have before. You have a lot of programs where you have to wonder who is watching them. On network TV the shows would get canceled if they didn't perform because there were only a few networks. Now that you have so many of them, so many slots, so much time to fill do shows live on forever?
