The Emotional Problem of Evil
As a philosopher, it is extraordinarily difficult to prove any kind of incompatibility between God and the evil in the world. So then how would you shift over then to that emotional side of this question? I'd say does Christianity have anything to say about the emotional problem of evil? And I'd say yes, because it tells us that God is not a cool and distant creator aloof from the world that he has made. Rather, he is a God who enters into human history in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. He bears incomprehensible suffering even though he was totally innocent to bring us to a knowledge of himself.
