Households is about a bungled, maybe not even attempted assassination of a Hitler-like figure. It's ostensibly about a guy who goes on the run and you see him try to survive as he's tortured. I wanted no backstory in my movie, no narration, just the simplicity of the chase. For each of them, man versus self, running as fast as they could, crossing every boundary - there was no other explanation.
