Are You in So Much Trouble All the Time?

There are broad generalizations that people now accept without question for putatively moral reasons. I see this as tremendously damaging to young people in particular, partly because it's simply not true. The insistence by certain intellectual class that it's power at the basis of all social relations is simply not the case. In my experience, you can tell me what it's been for you. And yet the proper use of your ambition is exactly that. That's what young people should be taught, despite all our flaws.
