Book Review: The Girl in His Shadow

The story of an aspiring female surgeon in london in the 18 forties. The idea of a woman conducting dissections and doing surgeries is just really, really hard to wrap your heads around. For me, it all began with horace. He was the impetus for telling this story. And he's a conglomeration of two contemporary british surgeons of the day.
