The History of Cotton Spinning by Water Mill

In 1768, Hargreite took the clockmaker back to his hometown of Preston. There they invented a new spinning frame using rollers that would effectively automate much of this spinning process. A few years later he teamed up with two investors, from the non-conformist religious community. The Cromford mills would become one of the birth sites of the industrial revolutions.
