The Effects of Exercise on Bone Mineral Density

There's been some controversy about what calcium levels people should have and whatever. Certain groups of athletes or people who participate in certain types of exercise do tend to have higher bone mineral density. The best type of activities seem to be those that involve jumping, sprinting, weightlifting. So gymnasts, probably because of the impact forces that they generate when landing from a vault or something.
