The Problem With Quantification and Metrics Driven, Target Driven Capitalism
I see increasingly the need for quantification and measurement. I see it creating a kind of Soviet style capitalism, to be honest. And by the way, I think if the if the objective of economics is to produce human happiness and well being, rather than to produce a spurious model of efficiency. The consumer makes the call. It's not really value-creating at all. They're career defending. In terms of the fact that individual, there's a massive principal agent problem with all employees,. You know, the business is trying to maximize wealth. The employee is trying to minimize the risk of blame.
