Small Cap vs Small Cap - What's the Difference?
Last year, there were 153 IPOs at an average market capitalization of $4 billion. So it's not true that the outperformance of large cap versus small cap is based on the IPO market. One of the big differences that leads to outperformance of one segment versus another is how valuations are changing. Only about 3% of the time has been this cheap for small cap relative to large cap.
