The Role of the Central Nervous System in Predicting Pain

We may need to start thinking that the script has been flipped a little bit. A lot of our percepts are generated and biased towards predictions based on previously held information within our system. And so for me, this really changes how you start looking at pain. Right. So we know that pain just isn't about peripheral inputs, but can you go more into predictive processing? Give an example of it, how does the central nervous system play a role in that? Probably the best way is true analogy.
