The Need for Legislation to Regulate Online Content
There was a realisation that although there was some law, there was very little. Molly Russell's case wasn't the spur for this legislation but it certainly demonstrated the need in the view of the government. Big Tech has not been subject to the same kind of rules as say publishers or even broadcasters like the BBC which put out significantly less content. Does this proposed bill change that way of looking at things? It certainly does.
