Do We Need to Understand Life to Build Artificial Intelligence?
I have about 400 more questions to ask you guys, but i guess my questions are micro states. Do we need to understand life to build intelligence? In in other words, is building artificial life essentially a precursor to building artificial Intelligence? And if so, what does that mean for us and how do we get there? I was worried this was going to happen. But on the other hand, it's far less work to do that than to try to transmit all the individual bits of information. It's pointless to just keep transmitting the same information along a chain without operating on it or extracting meaning from it.
