The Effects of Social Buffering on Teenager Mental Health

The researchers still aren't 100% sure, but they assume that it's because of why teens would be embarrassed by their parents in the first place. Teenagers have a much higher likelihood to develop worsened mental health than other age groups. Social buffering from someone who loves you is helpful until the middle stages of puberty and can help children from being exposed to more stress. Even if we're not decreasing a teen's stress levels, at the very least, we can try our hardest not to increase them.
