The Unprecedented Strike on the Rail Industry

RMT members have reached a deal to explain what happened there. There were two strands of dispute: network rail and train operating companies. We got an improved offer, which is better than the one for the train operators. The other strand is the 14 train operating companies that are controlled by the DFT. They used to be called franchises, but now they're on passenger service contracts because they didn't want to run them anymore post-COVID or mid-COVID. And we'll come on to those issues in a minute and have a good old chat about that.
