The Road to 1981
January 19 81 saw the new cross fire, wherein tinages were burnt to death in a racis arsena. Organized on the back of that by the new cross public action committee, was the black people's day of action. Police descended upon brixton like never before in what was known as operation swamp. Districts across the country erupt in flames against state violence and races legislation. And the final event, which we talk about as part of this flash point of 19 81, takes place in bradford where the bradford 12 are raided for having petrol bombs mullet of cocktails on their premises.
