I fantasize about like, you know, the coffee houses in Vienna where people would go and one guy's working on a math problem. And it's just this very intellectual, bookish kind of exchange of ideas. I maybe I'm imagining it and it wasn't really the way I was imagining it, but I know that there are other people who are also drawn to that same thing. Some people think you can only have friends defined by their exclusivity or scarcity as it relates to meaning. To love a specific person and identify with his or her struggles and joys as if they were your own is not surrendering some of yourself.
