Stakes Is High: A De La Soul Album From 96
I try to write around music and pop culture because I think that's the easiest way to talk to people about the world. My most recent column in Sublation is called Stakes is High, which is a De La Soul album from 96. So I'm working on a new one where every chapter is a song title from the soundtrack from the movie, Pump Up the Volume. It's called Everybody Knows. And it's about the way we view authenticity, kind of using Millie Vanilly as a background. That sounds fascinating. Can't wait to get into the conversation about this film.
