PEP allows you to install Python modules that are not provided in your distributions repo. It hasn't been accepted in Fedora just yet, whether it seems that in Ubuntu 23.04 and Debian 12, this will go through. "I personally think that having this is a good thing," he says. But for most people who use the old-fashioned way of installing software like NPM or PIP they should stick with their favourite distro.
