Can I Hide the Marks of Circumcision?
In the days of Abraham circumcision has been the token of the covenant. If you're a good Jewish boy going to the gymnasium or the bathhouse the fact that you have been circumcised is visible for all to see and the Greeks were horrified by that. There was even a medical procedure, it was called Epispasm and it was a reversal of circumcision. According to Gentile custom, there's Hellenization making its way and removed the marks of circumcision and abandoned the Holy Covenant. And so you want to talk about Greek culture? That's where the Corinthians saints are up against. Can you feel their pain? Can you understand what they're up against?
