Is There a Preferential Frame?

There's a preferred frame in which the universe, the distribution of galaxies, looks uniform. But if you move relative to that frame, then it won't look uniform either. And so there's a prefersuit's a preferred rest frame. In everyday life, as opposed to cosmology, the different frames are more or less equivalent. If you cancel out the astrological influence of distant galaxies, what's left allows you freedom in the definition of time.
