In the old days, when I started out, writing was a really good profitable career. With this new streaming model, writers work for much less time. Half of our writers work at what we call the WGA minimum,. That's supposed to be the floor. But a lot of people has become the ceiling. This shouldn't, this shouldn't be the case. We should be able, there should be a road to success.

For the first time in over 15 years, the Writers Guild of America is on strike. Your favorite shows and movies are at risk, but so is the livelihood of thousands of writers, and the future of writing as a viable career. This week, Adam is joined by fellow writers and WGA negotiating committee members Danielle Sanchez-Witzel and David A. Goodman to discuss how we got here, what's at stake, and what needs to happen to secure a sustainable life for writers everywhere.
