Is There a Fascism in America?
In 1936, Italy enters the war on the German side. Three years later, the Allies invade Italy. Later that month, Mussolini resigns and the fascist party in Italy was dissolved. And so Jeanie at that point is not in an easy position. He's been close to Mussolini and the fascist government. You just get a sense of someone who's sort of blowing with the wind so he can do the work that he wants to do. There's some people took very brave positions during the war,. both within Germany and Italy, and he's certainly not in that group.
