Pahom's Dreams of a New Life

Pahom was living in a small village near the Volga River. A stranger told him that many people were settling there, and had twenty-five acres of communal land per man. Pahom decided to find out all he could about it for himself. He sold his homestead and cattle; then started with his family for the new settlement.
