Is It Management or Leadership?

In my mind, management means that you do two things that sets you apart from other leadership responsibilities. One is you manage people's salaries, and the other is you have firing authority. And like to me, that's what distinguishes management from leadership,. They may have some overlap in the Venn diagram, so not orthogonal, but they're different.
