The growth rate in china needs to remain over something like about eight % in order for the country not to economically stall and be thrown into an epic recession. The idea that this could happen to china if it chose to invade ti juan, i think it would be quite a sobering thought. But then again, er, these things ar always impossible to actually properly predict.
