Before the reformation, value as hierarchy is controlled, as well as information. And so one of the questions that historians like to ask is, why did that become unwound? This bigger historical narrative where communities are organizing, and they are using technological tools as vectors to unwind that hierarchy - it succeeded in the fifteenth and sixteenth century. They were using two types of decentralized technology. Ad there's real power in the nature of something being decentralized when pitted against a, against hierarchy.
