The Dutch government plans to buy and close down up to 3000 farms near environmentally sensitive areas. They say the plan will help biodiversity, but some farmers are saying they want to keep farming. Once you start getting government into farming, there is nobody that knows how the soil works more than attorneys who become politicians.
