The Nations Gathered Against Jerusalem
In the mid fourth century b c, the summons to the valley of jehoshaphat is first of all a mons to battle. This great battle is one for which as many weapons as possible must be forged. Famously, isaiah chapter two, verse four, prophesied a coming time of peace. He shall judge between the nations and decide disputes for many peoples. And they shall beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. The day of the lord has various different expressions in history and prophecy, but they do tend to rhyme.
