The Difference Between Time Zones
If a plane flies 930 kilometers an hour over 5240 kilometers it would take about seven hours in other words. So traveling from east to west we subtract five time zones or five hours from the duration that the trip takes. If we were to fly halfway around the planet say from New York to its what they call that the antipode point the opposite point on the surface of the planet in the southern hemisphere would be in Augusta Australia. The actual flight considering the combination of flight the subtraction of the time zones would only amount to 8 hours even though it would feel like a 21 hour long flight to somebody in the airplane.
