The Importance of Originality

A lot of filmmakers have a signature style or thing that they do that makes, but that you have been able to sort of constantly change. I think it's such a testament to, I don't know, a lack of originality. What I like to do is see as much as I can see and attach to as much asI can attach to that I think is really compelling. And then put it in a bucket and stew it around as I'm envisioning whatever the next thing is.
