The portion that actually touches the rail of a train wheel is roughly the size of a CD. The actual contact between that and the rail is quite small. It's just a beautiful thing gliding through the countryside and cities effortlessly at 200 miles an hour. I don't know why we don't have it in the UK yet. Why haven't we invented it yet, Pete?
