The Difference Between Building Muscle Bases When You're Younger

There's a scientific basis to the term muscle memory. It has to do with, what they call, myonuclei, which are related to satellite cells. When you work out, you stimulate the development of new myon nuclei. This is why it's harder to develop muscle as you get older because the satellite cells are not quite as active.
