Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Medication Are Not Effective at Preventing New Episodes of Depression
Cognitive behavioral therapy and medication are not very effective at preventing or at least less effective at preventing new episodes of depression. So CBT then actually looks better than it had in my memory of it, that it continues to keep people well, potentially even to new episodes. Doesn't mean people don't have subsequent episodes, but they're about half as likely, half as likely or more, to not have subsequent episodes.
