The Importance of StoryMapping in Agile Processes
In an agile environment, it's hard to fix exactly what the scope is. StoryMap helps us represent our vision in a story in a narrative. The good thing you get out of a good agile process with a fixed time box every week or to your force to predict what you can get done in a week or two weeks. If you suck at predicting what you're doing in the first week or two, chances are you suck at predicted all the rest of this stuff.
