The overall trajectory of thi war, the military balance, favors ukrane. And there are now multiple native countries openly claring that they are training ucranian forces on their soil,. Which i think the significance of that training can't be overstated. As long as the russian military is fighting the way it is, and fighting under the constraints ofs fighting under now... I do suspect that if putton believes hat he is going to lose the don bass down the line, and whatever the follon phases confict look like, he will not accept that."
