Is There a Way to Improve Social Security Benefits?
We should make it less of a penalty for people to need to file early. It's be especially helpful for older workers who find themselves forced into early retirement by, let's say, a job loss or a health problem during the pandemic. A targeted change that would have an interesting and salutary effect on people with higher benefits would be to reduce the amount of tax we collect on benefits.
