In the wake of the election of Donald Trump, I absolutely don't think that Vladimir Putin is blameless or that one should deny the seriousness of what he might have done in 2016. But at the same time, I do believe that a lot of the reaction may have been just flexing a muscle that already existed. Just there was that muscle memory to rather than look at other things that may have caused an election happen. Both sides have done this for decades. It's not just one side.
